HGTV to turn Barbie's Dreamhouse into real-life home in new series hosted by Ashley Graham
The Barbie Dreamhouse will no longer be just a toy — HGTV is making it into a real-life home.
The network announced April 12 that it will release a new competition series "Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge" on HGTV and Max this summer that will see Barbie's iconic home brought to life as an actual home.
Hosted by Ashley Graham, the show will have four episodes and will feature top HGTV talent as they renovate and redesign a real home into a life-size Barbie Dreamhouse.
At the end of the series, a Barbie fan will win a stay inside the house.
“It’s really felt super nostalgic, because I’m such a big Barbie fan, and, growing up with Barbie, this feels very important," Graham told USA TODAY during a recent set visit about her experience hosting the series.
"I also love a good house renovation. I love a good redesign. So it’s been really exciting to watch in real-time as well.”
A teaser trailer released April 12 says the series features "the largest HGTV team ever assembled."
